the invitation letter to monywa consultation meeting for township selection for CDD project in sagaing region

 

Dear Colleagues:

It is my pleasure to inform you that the Government of Myanmar is organizing consultation meetings in Sagaing Region, Magway Region, Ayeyarwaddy Region, Karen State and Rakhine State to assist in identifying the townships that will benefit from the National Community Driven Development Project (Ludu Bahopyu Project). We are inviting Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Groups, Community Based Organizations and Development Partners with active programs in the respective Region/State to attend the meetings.

The first meeting will be held in Monywa on 25th October 2013. The meetings in Magway, Pathein, Pha-an and Sittwe will be held during October last week and November. You find attached a short note on the township selection process, the agenda for the Magway meeting and the project information document. Please note that all meetings will be held in Myanmar language without translation.

Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Groups, Community Based Organizations and Development Partners with an active program in Sagaing Region and interested in participating in the Sagaing meeting should please contact us at cdd.drdmyanmar@gmail.com by 23rd October. The venue details and data table for the Monywa meeting as well as further information about the Magway, Pathein, Pha-an and Sittwe meetings will be provided separately.
