Invitation for Bids

1.         The Government of Myanmar has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank Group toward the cost of the National Community Driven Development Project (NCDDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for G4.

2.         The Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development, Office No. 14, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of Lot 1 : 221 units of  Type A motorcycles and Lot 2: 15 units of Type B motorcycles within 30 days. after the contract effective date.
3.          Bidders may bid for one or both lots, as further defined in the bidding document.  Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.

4.         Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers  January 2011 (�Procurement Guidelines�), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

5.         Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address below and inspect the bidding documents during office hours e i.e. 0900 to 1600 hours Myanmar time at the address given below.

6.         A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 50,000 MMK in  Borrower's currency or USD 50.  The Bidding Documents will be issued through hand deliver or through courier, if so requested.  In case Bidding Documents are requested to be couriered, then an additional amount of USD 50 is required to cover courier changes (i.e. USD 50 + USD 50 = USD 100) . The method of payment will be in cash if the Bidding Document is to be issued through hand delivery.  In case the Bidding Documents are to be courier, the payment should be sent through bank transfer to the following account details:

7.         Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:30 AM�on 23 September 2014.  Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders� designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below at  10:30 on 23 September 2014.
8.         All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration (in accordance with the format provided in the Bidding Documents)
