CDD Project Team meets KDI School members

CDD project that is supported by World Bank, implemented by Department of Rural Development (DRD) of Ministry of Border Affairs, project team meets Korea delegation today at CDD project Secretariat's Office. The meeting was attended by personals of DRD and KDI school members lead by Professor Mr. Taejong Kim and Mr. Hyeok Jeong. 

In meeting, KDI member asked about CDD project overview, design of project, procedure for choosing the project area and starting time of the project. CDD official explained the objectives of project, the various committee, effected area selection and consultation plan. 

Target Townships for CDD project are chosen based on primarily poverty. Otherwise, they need supporting from local government. In first year, CDD project will support to all village of three townships, selected by criteria of World Bank. 

KDI school member asked to CDD team about project extension. CDD officer explained the project that needs good result. Hence, the CDD team is trying her best to achieve the good result. If project achieve positive result, the project may extend. 

CDD officer warmly welcome if KDI School can assists the activities of CDD project, such as monitoring and evaluation, capacity building and knowledge exchange program. If it’s going on, CDD project will save the fund and can be used for other infrastructure development in villages, especially for the village tract that composed of many villages.
