TOWNSHIP SELECTION FOR SAGAING REGION
CONSULTATION OUTLINE
Date: 30th October, 2013
Time: 09.30 to 16.30
Location: City Hall, Monywa.
Chair: Chief Minister, Sagaing Region
Participants: Around 50-60 participants from Sagaing Region government, Regional/ District/ Township Authorities, Representatives of Ethnic Groups in Sagaing Region, NGOs and development partners with existing projects in Sagaing Region, local civil society groups.
Purpose: To identify up to three townships in Sagaing Region that best meet the selection criteria (poverty, absence of external funding, commitment by township authorities)
Reference documents: 1) note on the township selection process; 2) table with economic and social data for all townships; 3) National Community Driven Development Project – Project Information Document.
